The date was later changed to this birth date, now popularly known as Burns Supper or Burns Night. Burns Night celebrations are also held in the United States, Canada and Australia to name a few. The main motto of celebrating Burns Night is to pay respect to his outstanding work in the field of literature. Burns Supper celebration includes a traditional Scottish dish called Haggis, Scotch whisky and the recitation of Robert Burns’s poetry.
